Hollister Jeans

I have a pair of jeans that I bought a couple of years ago ONE size too small as motivation to lose the weight to get in them.  I STILL have yet to fit into these jeans.  My goal is be able to wear those jeans this summer. I have them hanging on my wall beside my bed as a constant reminder.


Also, I'm not doing a weight update this week because my time of the month started today which means I'm going to be bloated and weigh more. I didn't even step on the scale this morning.  I will do a weight update next Wednesday.


On a side note: What is one diet trick that ALWAYS works for you? I will post all diet "tricks" on my next blog post with your name beside it.

  1. I still have my old US size 3/5 jeans! I haven't fit into them since the summer of 2009. I like that you hung yours on the wall! Good idea!

  2. I had kept all of my clothes from before I got pregnant. I didn't want to get rid of everything because I like my clothes. I stretched some shirts that I didn't care about out with my belly but I bought new clothes while pregnant. It's been over a year but I'm finally able to wear my old jeans on some days (depending on how much I weigh/how bloated I am). I wasn't going to let myself go permanently just because I had a baby. I have some clothes that I bought before I got pregnant and never wore because I decided they made me look weird. But I know that once I lose like 10-20 more lbs I will look good in them. I can't wait til I can wear everything in my closet and look good in all of it.

  3. My trick: I keep a punnet of safe fruits in the fridge, something like cherry tomatoes, grapes or blueberries. I frequently have this urge when I go in to the kitchen to eat something - ANYTHING - and because I have these safe foods (they are often called negative calorie foods as raw they take more energy to digest than they provide) I can steer clear of other things such as biscuits or bread as well as get some more vitamins in!

  4. I brush my teeth after meals. It really helps me psychologically to switch modes from "eating" to "done eating." Also when my mouth feels fresh and clean I don't really want to eat more and mess it up!

  6. You don't have to post this since there are girls under 18 that read your blog.

    I smoke and brush my teeth. Smoking helps eliminate my hunger and brushing my teeth makes me not want to eat. Exactly like Ivy said.

  7. I drink only tea. It really helps and it has no calories! It fills you up & you can have as many cups are you want!

  8. I take nibbles of what i eat and after each bite i take a big gulp of water. this makes me feel full fast and keeps me refreshed.

  9. I bought size 2 pants and i need to lose 7 pounds to look good in them. Right now they give me a little muffin top :S

    My trick: i eat very slowly and take little bites of food, even if it's veggies. I also never salt my meal, i prefer spices.

  11. I bring coffee with me everywhere I go. Sometimes tea, but more often coffee because it's bitter. If I think I'm getting hungry, I just take a few drinks and the bitter taste, like, completely wipes away the urge to eat.

  12. It's been a while since I worked out, but I noticed if i started to feel hungry, and I worked out before I ate, my hunger would go away. and the majority of the time when you think you're hungry, you're actually thirsty for water.

  13. Ooh, jeans...great motivators they are! I have a pair of size 4 skinny jeans that only make it to the top of my thighs- I want to be able to wear those back to school this fall, so they're sort of my motivator more me! You'll be able to fit into your goal jeans soon! Also, for my "trick"- I always go for coffee and tea- the warm liquid fills me up and helps reduce the hunger :).
